I don't think I've ever posted a pict of my quiver. I've gotten complements on it the last couple of times I've been to the club. I got it here in NZ, at Advanced Archery. It had an open bottom, supposedly so you could pull arrows out that way easily.

I found it just made me look like the amature I was when I'd put the arrows into the quiver after retrieving them, only to have them fall out the bottom. Comedic yes. Not so good for my morale or the arrows.

Pict of the original quiver, with my modifications after the cut.

Obviously I needed something at the bottom to keep the arrows in. I tried just a bit of sheepskin, from an old car seat sheepskin my wife had. That was ok, but it needed a bit more so I stapled the sheepskin to some cardboard. This complemented the sheepskin that was already at the top of the quiver when I got it.

And that worked fine, except some arrows would go a bit astray and slip down and outside the sheepskin.

Add a $2 Shop ketchup bottle at the top with the bottom cut out, staple the cardboard/sheepskin to the bottom and presto! It all works fine.

I don't have a photo of the finished product yet, I'll upload one to the comm when I do one.

I'm afraid I don't (I've been mostly lurking since I joined the community), at least not yet. But 1) I've always been a huge fan of the bow and arrow since I was a little girl (blame the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and a lot of other Hindu mythology for that), especially the longbow, and two, I write fantasy, and it seems strange to me so far that I haven't used archery more in my writing - I figure it should help to learn a bit more about it. ^_^

I have also been meaning to take up archery lessons (I think there's an archery range near me, actually), but haven't found time to do it yet ^_^)
