That's great! What kind of bow are you getting? If it's for SCA I'm guessing a long bow or recurve?
Shooting takes some skill but isn't hard to learn. I can't dance, have no real coordination but can still shoot. :) I'm lucky because the range I shoot at has a lot of people into traditional archery. There are a lot of SCA-types who shoot wood arrows/bows and there are people like me who use recurves made from modern materials and there are a lot of people who go full-technology with the compound (pulleys/metal alloys) bows. I think it's great to have such diversity at our club because it means I can feel comfortable with my skill level as well as my equipment.
